Check if anyone, including yourself, the other driver, or any pedestrians, is injured.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">2. Move to a safe area.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">If it&#8217;s a minor accident, move your car to a safe location and turn on your hazard lights to alert other drivers and prevent a chain-reaction crash.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">3. Take photos and videos, including:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">a) The other driver&#8217;s name, ID number, phone number, and address<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">b) The other driver&#8217;s car license plate number, model, color, and road tax sticker<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">c) The damaged parts of both cars and the location of the accident<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Section 52(1) of the Road Transport Act of 1987:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Vehicle owners have a legal obligation to provide their name, address, and license plate number at the scene of an accident.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">4. Settle privately or report to the police.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The parties involved can negotiate a solution on their own.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">If reporting to the police, it should be done within 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Section 52(2) of the Road Transport Act of 1987:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Accidents must be reported to the police within 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">5. Towing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">If your car is too damaged to drive, do not accept towing services casually.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Contact your insurance company or agent immediately.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">6. Investigation<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The police will interview both parties and issue fines if necessary.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">7. Repair<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">After reporting to the police, the insurance company will arrange for towing to a designated repair shop.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">8.
